NEET 2020: Facilities provided by the Government for the Aspirants

The National Testing Agency (NTA) delayed the NEET UG 2020 examinations due to the COVID-19 outbreak across the country But the Union HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal recently disclosed the new dates for the NEET 2020 test. As per the new and revised schedule, the exam is scheduled to be conducted on 26 July. Around 12 – 16 lakh candidates are expected to sit for the exam to get admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and BVSc & AH courses offered by various colleges across India. Only those who have successfully registered for the test will be able to download NEET admit card 2020 from the official website ntaneet.nic.in till the exam date.

NEET 2020 free coaching by NTA

National Testing Agency (NTA) the conducting body of providing free online coaching to all the registered aspirants. NTA offers free NEET 2020 coaching lectures and videos conducted by numerous qualified professors for better preparation. 

According to the authorities, there is an increasing need for quality education, especially among the economically weak aspirants who want to give the exam but are unable to pay the tuition fees at the coaching institutes. 

No charges in the form of payments will be taken for the lectures and classes conducted by NTA. All the students are entitled to avail of this benefit and get free NTA Online Coaching & Mock Test Series by visiting the official website.

The move is in line with the NTA’s plan to give each student an equal chance to learn & achieve their dreams. The authorities also introduced a mock test app, NTA NEET Abhyas so that the test takers can prepare from the previous year’s questions.

Free NEET coaching by Tamil Nadu government

The Tamil Nadu School Education Minister recently disclosed that the state would offer free NEET UG coaching to all the government school students who will be giving the examination. In addition to this, the TN state government has also announced several updates concerning the NEET 2020 and valuation process for the TN Class 10 and 12 examinations.

The government initiated online facilities for students so that they can study from the comfort of their homes, especially when the coaching institutes are still closed. The teachers will be provided training for almost two weeks for the NEET 2020 coaching so that they can help the candidates. According to the report, the government will introduce an online facility for all students so that they can study safely home. Adding to this the government will also make arrangements in about 10 colleges to initiate coaching for government school students for in 2020 for this exam. 

Previously, the state government stopped offering any free coaching to the candidates as it was clashing with various other exams. 

But since the NEET 2020 exams got postponed till 26th July, because of COVID-19 pandemic, the government again started its initiative to provide free coaching to the students. Also, the government of Tamil Nadu is going to introduce a 7.5 percent horizontal reservation in the state government’s quota of MBBS/BDS seats for the students who are from government higher secondary schools.

GetCETGo by Karnataka government

The Chief Minister of Karnataka, B.S. Yediyurappa introduced a NEET online coaching portal – GetCETGo, allowing the registered aspirants to prepare for the test. To help the test-takers in continuing their preparations, this free coaching portal is introduced by the CM. By visiting this free NEET coaching app, GetCETGo, the aspirants can get the latest study material, get involved in chapter-wise preparations, give tests, lecture videos for revision, and take more mock tests as well. All NEET 2020 aspirants can take benefit of the free coaching classes by the Karnataka Government by registering for the same.

About NEET 2020

NTA will organize NEET 2020 exam on July 26, 2020, in an offline mode between 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The exam will be conducted for three hours and will have 180 multiple-choice questions. Post the exam; numerous coaching centres start releasing the answer key for candidates so that they can calculate their estimated scores.

But amid COVID19, the official answer key 2020 will be published with OMR sheet will be announced online only. The results of the exam will be announced in online mode only along with the final answer key. The shortlisted aspirants will be called for counselling of NEET 2020 for All India Quota (AIQ), state quota, deemed/central/private universities admissions.
